A collaboration between New Orleans’ two favorite tour companies, Confederacy of Cruisers and Kayak-iti-Yat. It’s super fun and hasn’t yet been attempted. We’re combining two of this city’s best attributes—cycling and kayaking. Though a city not often associated with healthy living and outdoor activities, New Orleans is parked right in the middle of a beautiful lush system of waterways—lakes, bayous, marsh and wetlands. When you find solid ground, it’s nice and flat. There are miles and miles of biking and paddling to be had right here in the city!
Confederacy of Cruisers will pedal with you for two hours from the Faubourg Marigny to the Faubourg St. John, where Kayak-iti-Yat will load you into kayaks and paddle with you through Bayou St. John for another two hours. Talk about a full experience! Between the bikes and kayaks, you will travel through six or seven neighborhoods, each unique and charming, all the while exploring everything you can imagine about this city. Both tour companies are equipped with funny, playful and knowledgeable guides; you’ll walk away from this experience a New Orleans expert.
After kayaking, take off from Bayou St. John on your own with the bikes for a few more hours. We’ll equip you with a map and plenty of suggestions of good food, pubs, and more adventure. Return the bikes to the Marigny by 5pm. $90
